See the Unseen ~ and endure…..
Hebrews 11:27 he (Moses)
endured as seeing Him who is invisible
…spiritual sight will give us endurance
Moses’ focus wasn’t on the temporal pleasures that this natural
realm had to offer. He knew the
things of the spirit were of greater value and he could not be swayed
from destiny by them – neither treasure nor pleasure could sway or
turn him – because he endured as seeing Him who is invisible – he
saw more than the natural realm and what it had to offer him.
- status – riches (wealth)- fame
Just as satan tried to sway
Jesus from destiny by these same things – but he would not be swayed
– it says his face was set like flint (on His destiny).
Jesus always remembered who He was, from where He came, and why
He was here. Jesus fought the temptations of satan with the word of God
(Jesus tempted – Luke 4) (the
sword of the Spirit – Eph 6:17) As warriors we must always keep sight
of who we are, what we must do and always be ready to wield the sword of
the spirit at any given moment – as David said “thy word have I hid
in my heart that I might not sin against you” Ps 119:11
If we are to see in the spirit we must hunger for the spirit.
The Bible tells us to set our affections (our desires - our
passions) on things above. Set
your heart on things above (CEV)
Singleness of eye is key Matt.6:21,22.
Unite my heart to fear your name… I will praise you with all my
heart…(psalms 86:11). There
is always an enemy lurking trying to sway you off course to draw you
away from destiny, to tempt you with the pleasures of Egypt …o soldier
– resolute scream out “I will not fall to you – flesh you will bow
– demons I shall slay that is my vow my hunger is above and that is
where my treasure lay – hidden with Christ from hence will never sway
– though reproached as a pilgrim I wonder – though rejected for
Christ I will not squander
– for what price He paid to pave this way to see His power live in me
Don’t let satan sneak in
and steal your heart. Let
your heart hunger for the things of God,
as it says look not to that which is seen but at that which is
unseen – for that which is seen is temporal (subject to change) but
that which is unseen is eternal – we live in a realm of the temporal
but we must keep our eyes on the eternal.
Even King David called this world dry and thirsty where no water
is – and he hungered and longed for God and to see His glory and power
manifest. He was king with
all the riches, wives, status, etc…. but he hungered for more – his
heart longed for God.
Flesh and its affections = an
emotion or influence
1 Colossians 3:2 set
affections on - think about – savor – entertain – exercise the
mind ...things above...
strongs #5424(root) feelings
– mind – understanding
Strongs #5923 the word for
deceiver and seducer is also a mind misleader
phrenapates = abd us related to 5424
remember satan is called the deceiver and comes to steal the word from
your heart (Rev. 12:9) (Luke 8:12)
(deceive – to cause to roam from safety – truth – or virtue
- to go astray – to be out of the way - seduce –
deceive – err)
The battle of the mind leads to your heart – The Enemy will speak to
your head to get to your heart.
Keep Gods word hidden in your heart.
Let it dwell in you richly (Col. 3:16)
and keep your destiny.
Philippians 3 If you
mind earthly things your God is your belly and your end is
destruction…but our
conversation is in heaven our life hidden in the heavenlies with Christ
(col.3:3) unable to be taken by the enemy
